The 15-year-old Ronaldo plays as a striker in the academy of the Al-Nasr club from Saudi Arabia, where his father plays. The match against Turkey was the first of three that Portugal’s U-16 national team will play in the Confederations Cup. On Saturday, the Portuguese will play against Wales, and will finish the tournament on Monday with a match against England.
Earlier this year, Ronaldo Jr. already played and scored for the Portugal U-15 national team.
Cristiano Ronaldo Sr., who recently turned 40, recently celebrated his 950th career goal.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner and captain of the Portugal national team is the top scorer in the history of men’s international football with 143 goals in 225 matches.
