The attacker, who turned out to be conscripted (according to the media, born in 1972), took out a pistol, previously converted from a traumatic TT, and fired several shots, wounding two soldiers in the leg. The servicemen are in the hospital, their lives are not in danger. The shooter was detained by the police, the investigation is ongoing. The offender is liable to imprisonment for a term of nine to 15 years or life imprisonment.
The editor-in-chief of “Kremenchutska Gazeta” Oleg Bulashev clarified that the man detained near the railway station allegedly began to demand that he be released and threatened to start a shooting before opening fire.
Earlier, in the village of Stara Huta, two local residents — a father and a son — attacked an employee of the territorial procurement center when he was performing his duties and serving summonses.
