The official is accused of abusing his official position during customs clearance of ATVs, which resulted in losses to the state of almost 1 million hryvnias.
The investigation established that the inspector deliberately ignored signs of falsification of the documents submitted for customs clearance. He unreasonably applied an understated rate for calculating customs payments.
ATVs were imported at a reduced cost through importing companies registered in offshore jurisdictions, which resulted in losses to the state budget.
