“Yesterday, the enemy carried out 80 air strikes, dropped 177 guided air bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,323 attacks, including 98 from rocket salvo systems, and engaged 5,671 kamikaze drones to destroy them… Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and two enemy artillery facilities,” the morning summary says.
100 battles out of 172 were recorded in three directions in the Donetsk region.
“In the direction of Kostyantynivka, the enemy launched 24 attacks in the areas of Predtechyny, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Berestk, Rusyny Yar, Sofiivka and towards Kostyantynivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 55 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Dorozhne, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novoeconomichne, Chervyn Liman, Myrnograd, Balagan, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Filia, Kucheriv Yar, Dachne.
In the Oleksandrivsk direction, during the past day, the enemy carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Myrne, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Ternove, Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, Rybne, Privillia, Novogrigorivka, Vyshneve, Privilne settlements,” the message states.
Battles also continued in North Slobozhansk and Kursk, South Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk. Slavic Kramatorsk, Gulyaipil, Orihiv and Dnieper directions.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the situation in the Pokrovsky district remains the most difficult: “the occupiers are trying to gain a foothold by all means, every destroyed occupier there is a result for our entire state.”
The Russian army has advanced within the borders of Pokrovsk – this was reported by the DeepState project in the morning of October 29. On the map of the hostilities, a “red zone” has grown in the south of the city, and a “gray” zone, indicating the presence of the enemy, has reached its northern outskirts.
Pokrovsk – a city with a population of about 7,000 people (more than 60,000 before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation) – is an important road and railway junction and was under threat of encirclement by Russian troops for most of the year.
During the assaults in the Pokrovsky direction, Russia repeats the scenario of the occupation of Avdiyivka, razing the city to the ground, Serhiy Okishev, an officer of the communications department of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told Radio Svoboda on October 28.
