According to the source, after the final whistle, the manager of Lille approached the main referee of the match, Nikola Dabanovic, and, holding the phone in his hands, said: “I’m calling Ceferin, this is some kind of madness.”
The European Football Association may look into the incident and impose a fine or short-term ban on Letang.
It is interesting that this season the president of Lille has already received sanctions – one match suspension and two conditional suspensions for criticizing the referees after the game against Lyon in the French championship.
