“Miss Ukraine 2023” wants to be taken seriously.
Sofia Shamiya sharply responded to the mockery / photo instagram.com/sofiashamiaOne of the participants of the 14th season of the romantic reality show “Bachelor”, the winner of the title “Miss Ukraine 2023”, Sofia Shamia, who was badly embarrassed in the very first issue of the project, decided to respond to public mockery.
The girl wants to be taken seriously, not “as a titled beauty”.
“It’s about the fear of women who have achieved something more. When a woman is smart, she’s too smart and needs to adapt to a man. When a woman is beautiful, she’s dumb or ‘miss,'” she said in one of her latest videos on her Instagram.
As Shamiya noted, she is not going to do anything to “prove something to someone”:
“It’s not me who has to change in order to be perceived correctly. This society has to change to stop judging women only by their appearance.”
The “Bachelorette” participant added that she answered not because of an insult, but because she was fed up with the fact that “humiliation of women is served as a joke.”
In the comments under the video, Ukrainian actress Natalka Denysenko, among others, supported Shamia.
“Self-affirmation at the expense of others… I’ve experienced it myself many times! What’s up, I face it every day,” she said.
We will remind, as UNIAN wrote, Sofia Shamia was shamed in the first edition of the show “Bachelor” for the fact that she has no idea about turnstiles.
