There are still rumors that the artist lives abroad.
Sofia Rotaru appeared in Kyiv not so long ago / UNIAN photoUkrainian singer Ihor Tselyp accidentally came across an interesting detail during a charity tour in Italy. The artist stayed in a rented apartment in Rome and saw a sign on the intercom with the inscription “Rotaru Sofia”.
As the performer told, the accommodation was booked through an online service with the aim of saving money on accommodation, in order to transfer more of the collected money to the needs of the Armed Forces.
“I settled in an ordinary rented house, nothing special. But when I saw a sign near the door with the name of Sofia Rotaru, I was honestly surprised. I don’t know if it’s really her or just a coincidence, but if so, then it’s very cool, because I respect her work and grew up on her songs,” he noted.
The artist emphasized that it was not his intention to disclose anyone’s personal data, but simply shared a funny and interesting incident that happened during the tour.
