The artist says that she wants to be “above all this”.

As you know, the 43-year-old singer was born in Uzhgorod, but moved to Russia as an adult and stayed there. Despite the fact that the Russian Federation carried out a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the artist continued to live in the aggressor country and remained silent about the illegal war.

Recently, a video appeared on the network, probably from the singer’s concert. At a certain moment, Yolka addressed the fans with a speech. “You all know where I was born and lived for 22 years. And where I came from. I did not make any comments on this topic. Because I believe that we should have the strength to stay above all this,” she says.

The artist added that she wishes everyone “wisdom and peace” and she really doesn’t want “something bad to happen.” What exactly is happening right now – she did not specify:

“Please, let those who are driving all this… have the wisdom to make it not painful. Because I worry about it every day, my heart hurts. I have a mother there, I have so many friends there. Each of you in Ukraine has a huge number of friends. And I don’t know a person who is not worried about this.”

We will remind you that recently the Ukrainian singer Ihor Tselyp called for artists who remained in Russia and are silent about the war to be banned from entering Ukraine.
