According to the government official, each region decides on the start of the heating season independently.
“For social infrastructure, for social facilities in many regions, the heating season has already begun, for some critical infrastructure facilities. Next, each region, depending on the average daily temperature, will make decisions about the start of the heating season,” said Svitlana Grynchuk.
She also added that as the temperature drops, the heating season may begin in the coming days.
“There will definitely be no delays on the part of the government on this issue. I think that in the coming days, as the temperature drops, local authorities will make decisions about the start of the heating season in their regions,” the minister explained.
The day before, Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko also did reportedthat the decision on the start of the heating season is made by local self-government bodies, when the average daily temperature does not exceed 8 degrees for three days.
About the fact that this year’s heating season will be the most difficult in all the years of full-scale war declared Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.
It also became known that the government allocated 8.4 billion hryvnias from the reserve fund of the state budget for the heating season, the company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” will receive these funds for the purchase of imported natural gas.
