On the night of October 26, Russia for the second time in a day attacked Kyiv – as a result of shelling, three people died, dozens more were injured.

In the Desnyan district, a residential high-rise building caught fire as a result of being hit by an unmanned aerial vehicle.

As informs “Society. Kyiv”, strike passed out to the second floor of the building where Elizaveta, a native of Kyiv, lives. The woman said that a beam in her apartment on the fifth floor burned down. In general, fire covered balconies from the fourth to the seventh floor.

According to Elizaveta, immediately after the explosion, the glass flew out of her apartment and there was smoke. She, along with her husband, child and dog, could not leave the apartment on their own, so they waited for the help of rescuers, breathing through wet towels

“There was a lot of smoke, everything flew away. It was very scary. On the second, third, fourth floors, everything was completely burned. I don’t know what was inside us, but we barely got out.” – the woman shared.

Ilya lives next to the damaged house. The man told reporters that he was still awake at the time of the attack.

“I heard the sounds of Shahed, and then a powerful impact. My car was parked in the place where the fire station is now. I told my wife to go out and see what happened to the car. She looked and said that the car was damaged.”says the man.

According to Ilya, in the first minutes after the impact, there was a lot of smoke. He saw how emergency services workers rescued an injured child from a damaged house. In total, 13 people were rescued from the upper floors of the building.

“The screams were very loud. Such a fire, such an explosion. Apparently, something caught fire or gas exploded.”the man suggested.

In the same area, a 16th-story building was damaged – windows from the first to ninth floors were blown out as a result of a drone strike. By in words city ​​mayor Vitaly Klychka, the facade and ceiling between the sixth and eighth floors were partially damaged in the building.

The blast wave from the impact also damaged neighboring houses.

“Nearby, the neighbors’ wall was knocked out. Probably, our walls were also blown down by the wave. Everything was collapsed. We heard a strong explosion. I was lying down, then, apparently, the wave passed from above. My husband and I are unharmed, as is everyone in the house.”– shared Lyubov Leonidivna, a resident of the damaged high-rise building.

The woman says that rescuers found parts of an unmanned aerial vehicle in a neighboring apartment – the owner of the apartment was hospitalized.

A resident of a damaged house told NV, who together with his father survived after a direct hit by “Shaheed” in their apartment. As a result of the attack, the walls, ceiling and floor of several apartments in the building collapsed.

“I was hit by a wall that started to fall. My father received many cuts, he was taken away by an ambulance. But he is already being treated. Everything could have been much worse.”– said the Kyivan.

Journalist Andrii Tsaplienko reportedthat a mother and daughter died as a result of the attack in the capital. The family suffocated from the smoke in the bathroom, where they were hiding from Russian shelling.

According to the Air Force, on the night of October 26, the Russians applied 101 UAVs to attack Ukrainian cities. Most of the means of destruction have been knocked down or suppressed.
