Such a statement was made by the host of the War Room podcast, former chief strategist of the White House, Steve Bannon. In an interview with The Economist’s Insider project, he said that people should come to terms with it.

The catch is that the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution expressly prohibits the president from being elected more than twice. But Bannon says there are ways.

“There are many different alternatives. At the appropriate time, we will tell you what the plan is. In 2016, we had a higher chance than in 2024, and a higher chance than in 2028,” he explained.

The former strategist of the White House is convinced that Trump will be the president of the United States in 2028. He believes that the country itself needs this.

“Trump is the guide of divine providence, he is an instrument. He is very imperfect. He is not a church person, not particularly religious, but he is an instrument of divine will,” Bannon believes.

At the same time, he emphasized that there is only one way Trump can become the president of the USA for the third time – by the will of the American people.

What American law saysThe Constitution of the United States of America expressly prohibits anyone from being elected to the office of president more than twice, that is, in total – no more than eight years.

However, the media have repeatedly written that Trump is looking for loopholes that would help him bypass the 22nd amendment.

It is noteworthy that there was one case in history when one and the same person remained in the position of the president of the USA longer. It is about Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Due to the situation during the Second World War, he nominated his candidacy for a third term and was elected.

Moreover, he was even elected for a fourth term, but Roosevelt died a few months later.
