Forecasters warned of strong winds in Kyiv and the region on October 24

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns of dangerous meteorological phenomena in Kyiv and the region on Thursday, October 24. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns of dangerous meteorological phenomena in Kyiv and the region on Thursday, October 24. Strong gusts of wind are expected, which may complicate the operation of transport and utility services.

According to forecasters, during the day the wind will be southeast, 7–12 m/s, and in the afternoon its gusts will increase to 15–20 m/s. The danger level is yellow (I level).

Such weather conditions can affect the work of energy, construction and utility companies. Experts advise to avoid staying under trees, billboards and near damaged structures.

The weather will remain cloudy: no precipitation is forecast during the day, and rain is possible in the evening.
The air temperature at night will be 6–11 °C in the region and 8–10 °C in Kyiv, during the day it will be 11–16 °C in the region and 13–15 °C in the capital.
