“The enemy launched one missile and 62 air strikes, using 28 missiles and dropping 98 guided air bombs. It also used 3,337 kamikaze drones for strikes, carried out 3,311 attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the summary reads as of 10:00 p.m.
More than half of the battles were recorded in Pokrovsky and the adjacent Oleksandrivskyi direction.
“During the current day, the enemy carried out 40 offensive actions in the Pokrovsky direction. The activity of the Russian occupiers was recorded near the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Myrnograd, Novoekonomichnye, Chervyn Liman, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Promin, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Zvirove, Dachne, Filia and in the direction of Hryshiny. Two clashes are still going on.
In the Aleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian units repelled 16 attacks in the areas of Andriivka-Klevtsov, Sosnivka, Verbove, Privilne, Novovasylivka, Oleksandrograd and Novogrigorivka settlements. Two more clashes are ongoing,” the message stated.
Fighting also continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kostiantynovsky, Gulyaipil, Orikhov and Dnieper directions.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.
British intelligence has recently reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.
On October 1, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military had cut off the so-called “Dobropilsky Protrusion” of Russian troops.
