According to the victim, in one of the social networks he came across an ad about investment training and the opportunity to earn a profit.

After following the specified link, the man contacted a person who introduced himself as a broker-analyst.

After registering on the website, the resident of Ternopil began to transfer funds to the fraudster’s account. Between July 27 and October 17, he made several transfers totaling $28,100. Subsequently, the connection with the “broker” disappeared, and access to the investment platform was blocked.

The police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers once again call on citizens to be cautious and not to trust dubious online investments.

Earlier in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a swindler deceived an elderly woman and took possession of her savings, persuading her to take them to the church for “consecration”.

Also, in Kyiv, a pseudo-postman, under the pretext of exchanging money for new bills, “exchanged” 260,000 hryvnias of a pensioner for a piece of paper.
