Since the beginning of the day, 56 combat clashes have taken place at the front, the Ukrainian General Staff reported in a summary as of 16:00.

“On the Pokrovsky direction, clashes of varying intensity broke out 20 times during the day near the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Myrnograd, Novoeconomichne, Chervyn Lyman, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and Filia. Five combat clashes continue until now. In the Oleksandrivsk direction, the aggressor tried to advance 10 times in the areas of Andriivka-Klevtsov, Sosnivka, Verbove, Privilne, Novovasylivka, and Novogrigorivka settlements. “Six combat clashes are still ongoing,” the message reads.

According to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, combat operations also continued in the North-Slobozhansk, Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kostiantynovsky, Gulyaipil, Orihiv, and Dnieper directions.

Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.

British intelligence has recently reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.

On October 1, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military had cut off the so-called “Dobropilsky Protrusion” of Russian troops.
