“Our drones changed the balance of forces in the Black Sea and proved their effectiveness. The new generation of Sea Baby is even more effective. Therefore, the work to clear the Black Sea of the Russian fleet will continue. The enemy will feel the full power of our technological developments,” emphasized the head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk.
At the same time, SBU Brigadier General Ivan Lukashevich (“Hunter”) said that during this year’s attack on the Crimean bridge, naval drones delivered explosives to the right point. The supports of the building were blown up by it.
“The new Sea Baby modifications were built with funds raised by Ukrainians on the UNITED24 fundraising platform,” the SBU added.
One of the heads of the military counterintelligence of the SBU, who oversees the activities of the 13th Main Directorate of the DVKR “Hunter”, also reported that the updated drones are capable of covering a distance of more than 1,500 km, carrying up to 2,000 kg of cargo, have reinforced engines and a modern navigation system.

The SBU development team demonstrated two drones with different weapons. The first one is equipped with a gyro-stabilized machine gun installation, which has a system of automatic capture and recognition of targets. The second one carries heavy weapons: a 10-charge rocket salvo missile system “Grad”.
The SBU noted that they are constantly developing other models of the latest weapons and have already successfully used them in the Black Sea. However, detailed information about these means is not yet subject to disclosure.
We will remind that in December 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that its Sea Baby drones had worked against Russian helicopters and airplanes in the Kerch Bay. The drones were equipped with large-caliber machine guns with ballistic programs for automatic targeting and automatic target capture.
