The Czech Republic will build and transfer to Ukraine a satellite for monitoring the Earth’s surface. It will be able to record objects on the surface of the planet, regardless of weather conditions, the Czech Ministry of Transport announced on October 21.

The device will collect data using radar scanning technology, which allows monitoring at night and in bad weather. It can be used for reconnaissance and civilian purposes.

According to the ministry’s message, the new satellite will be developed within the country, and its transfer takes place within the framework of the Czech government’s program for the restoration of Ukraine. It follows from the message that Ukraine will receive more such devices. It is not specified who will launch them into orbit.

The headquarters of the EU space program agency is located in Prague. The organization ensures the operation of EU satellites, in particular those developed by the research European Space Agency.
