Canadians will play for the first time in 32 years: the finalists of the baseball World Series have been decided

The only Canadian franchise in Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays will play for the World Series title for the first time in 32 years. They defeated the Seattle Mariners 4–3 in the deciding Game 7 of the American League Finals to win the series by the same score.

In the fight for the main trophy, they will meet with the current MLB champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The first game will take place on Friday.

The World Series will be held in Canada for only the third time. The last time the Blue Jays reached the finals in 1992 and 1993, they took home the title.

Over the next 32 years, Toronto made the playoffs only six times.

It should be noted that before the season, the Canadians issued a contract for 500 million for 14 years to their main star, Vladimir Guerrero.

This is the fifth World Series appearance for the Dodgers in the last 9 years. They managed to become champions last year and in 2020. The Californians lost the finals of 2017 and 2018.
