In Zaporizhzhia, for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the activities of daycare groups for the smallest pupils have been resumed. On October 20, the doors opened for the first hundred children.

“Today, 100 children went to nursery school. For the first time since the beginning of the war, we were able to resume the work of nursery groups for children under the age of three,” said Kharchenko.
Currently, there are nine kindergartens in Zaporizhzhia, where thirteen nursery groups work. The duration of children’s stay in groups is limited to three hours.
In total, there are about 120 preschool education institutions in the city, of which 30 provide food and work full time. The city authorities report that the restoration of preschool infrastructure is ongoing.
