The humanitarian cargo was transported in order to distribute it to hospitals and other institutions where this humanitarian aid is needed. There is no secret here. There was both humanitarian and commercial cargo on this plane.”
What preceded this:
- People’s deputy Oleksandr Gerega wrote letters to the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko and People’s Deputies of the Republic of Belarus with a proposal to buy anti-epidemic medical products from his company “Epicentr K”.
- In his letters, he indicated that these goods were delivered to Ukraine by the Mriya plane.
- On April 23, an AN-225 “Mriya” transport plane with medical cargo arrived in Ukraine. The plane was met in Kyiv by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Minister of Infrastructure Vladysdlav Kryklii, Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko and other officials. In total, “Mriya” brought 103 tons of medical cargo.
