On Friday, October 19, the final match of the seventh round of Serie A took place at the San Siro, in which Milan hosted Fiorentina. The match ended with a dramatic victory for the hosts with a score of 2:1.

The guests were the first to score: in the 55th minute, Gosens opened the score and put Fiorentina ahead. The team of Stefano Pioli, who this season led the “violets” and played for the first time against his former club, tried to keep the minimum advantage.

However, Raphael Leau’s heroics changed the course of the game. First, the Portuguese equalized with a powerful shot from distance, and then coolly converted the penalty in the 86th minute, bringing Milan the important three points.

Thanks to the victory, Massimiliano Allegri’s team temporarily climbed to the top of the Serie A standings. For Fiorentina, this defeat was another blow in a difficult start to the season – the Violets remain in the outsiders’ zone.
