Today, October 18, emergency power outage schedules began to operate in the Sumy region.
This decision was made by the NEC “ Ukrenergo ” in response to the lack of an opportunity to reduce power consumption from the power grid due to active shelling of energy facilities in Ukrainian regions. Emergency shutdowns will affect the first and second tiers of consumers.
The reason for such measures is Russia’s military aggression and attacks on critical infrastructure, which complicates stable energy supply. It is known that information about emergency shutdowns will be displayed in real time through the E-Svitlo service. However, it is currently impossible to provide accurate information about the duration of outages until the command is canceled by NEC “Ukrenergo”.
According to the latest information, Russian troops have attacked energy facilities in various regions of Ukraine, and emergency recovery work has already begun. The situation remains difficult, because shelling continues, and Ukrainian energy workers are working to restore the infrastructure.
