The defender of Shakhtar Donetsk and the national team of Ukraine, Yukhym Konoplia, who found himself at the center of a loud scandal due to his preferences under a video with Russian content, apologized and assured that this would not happen again.

He published the relevant post on his Instagram page.

“You are right. I did not put any intentions into my preferences. I did not support Russia and its leaders and followers in any way. I am a patriot of my country. I made my conclusions. I sincerely apologize. It will not happen again,” Konoplia wrote.

Earlier, Konoplya said that he was surprised to hear such accusations against him.
