NATO countries have developed new technical solutions to Ukraine for Ukraine with planning aircraft and drones, and the joint structure of the Alliance and Ukraine Jatec is moving to the final test phase.
This was stated in NATO headquarters by Colonel Valery Vyshnevsky, Senior Representative of Ukraine in Jatec.
In the spring, the General Staff appealed to Jatec to help with technical solutions against the cabins and drones that are guided by the optic fiber. Within the Innovation Contest, the scenario of application of planning bombs and the desired result were described – more than 40 applications from Nativ companies were received for the competition. The jury, which included Ukrainian experts, selected three finalists – all of them have already worked with Ukraine earlier.
The final variants are based on approaches with drones-interceptors and “swarms” of drones; The use of artificial intelligence is also envisaged. The most progress has been made in counteracting planning bombs: although decisions need to be finalized for the bonds, they were very effective against Shahmed and ready for use against them.
Next week, the finals will take place at the France landfill: the launch of planning bombs and drones is planned, after which the interceptors should work for this purpose. According to the test results, Ukraine will decide whether to introduce technology and look for funding through a coalition. Working on solutions for drones on a fiber continues, but has not yet reached such a level of readiness, Vyshnevsky added.
Defense Minister Denis Shmigal turned NATO partners with a request to find funding that would cover half of the Defense Budget of Ukraine for 2026.
