He noted that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte presented a plan for strengthening the defense against drones, given the recent incidents Berlin greets it.

“Germany, of course, will also make a significant contribution here. First of all, we want to ensure that numerous individual activities work together as a clock. And to achieve this and guarantee it in the coming years, Germany invests 10 billion euros in drones of all types and levels, both offensive and defensive, according to budget plans for the coming years, ”Pistorius said before the NATO Defense Ministers meeting.

October 15 is the NATO ministerial. Also in the evening, dinner of EU defense ministers is planned in the evening. In particular, it is expected to discuss the feasibility of creating a “drone wall”.

Despite the general consent of the European leaders on the need to develop anti-route defense systems, there are fears that the technologies and tactics of drones develop so quickly that the Dronova Wall can become outdated two to three years after launch.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the Russian aircraft did not violate the air space of Estonia and that three Russian aircraft had performed a “planned flight” from the Karelia airfield to an indefinite airfield in the Kaliningrad region in accordance with international law.
