Basic social assistance is the payments provided for low -income families: low -income, single mothers or children whose parents do not pay alimony or their location are unknown. It is possible to apply for a basic social assistance in action, and pay – on action.
Basic social assistance brings together existing social payments into a single state assistance.
Who can arrange a BSD?
To get basic social assistance, it is enough to receive at least one of three social payments at the time of application in action:
- assistance to the poor;
- payments for children to single mothers;
- Temporary assistance to children whose parents do not pay alimony or their location is unknown.
If the applicant has not received these types of benefits earlier, you can arrange a basic social assistance later. The service is inaccessible to Ukrainians in temporarily occupied territories, in the area of active fighting or abroad.
What are the benefits?
You can apply online at any time through action. Some of the data will be loaded automatically, it is only necessary to check them. The system will immediately show the estimated amount of payment for your situation.
How to apply in action?
In order to apply for basic social assistance, you need:
- update the action and authorized;
- Go: Services → State Assistance → Basic Social Assistance → Get Aid;
- obtain notifications with the calculation of the amount;
- Click the application and select the action.
- check the statement and confirm the refusal of other types of assistance – they will be combined into one payment;
- certify the action. Signing and sending an invitation to other adult family members;
- when all signatures are collected – the application is sent automatically;
- Get a assistance alert.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced a new type of targeted payment. It is called “Student Pack”.
Money assistance for veterans and UBD is provided by various organizations. We are talking about one of the new programs, which was announced on September 1, 2025. You can get up to 400 000 UAH in the form of a grant.
