The offender was stopped on the site of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. According to preliminary data, the man tried to bypass border control to get into the territory of Ukraine, despite the current ban on entry.
This is no longer the first attempt of this Russian illegal to be in Ukraine. In January this year, he became known because of his eccentric escape from Poland – then a man on an inflatable mattress sailed the Western Bug River.
The offender was detained by Ukrainian border guards, fined and banned from entering the country for five years.
Despite its previous punishment, the Russian did not draw any conclusions and repeated an attempt by choosing another route – this time across the border with Moldova. His actions fell into the field of view of the border patrol, who promptly discovered and detained a man.
Law enforcement officers reported that the offender did not have any documents that would allow the border crossing and refused to explain the motives of his actions.
