Enterprises of the deputy of the Zhytomyr Regional Council Irina Kostyushko and her business partner, the former top manager of the Russian firm “Rosgosstrah” Pavel Babic, who are engaged in agricultural business in the Zhytomyr region, are under the control of Kipra Demetri Stavrinou, which manages the assets of Russian oligarchs. Therefore, Kostyushko and Babich can also become the defendants of sanctions for violation of the regime sanctions and assistance in the circumstance of sanctions for the Russians.
In the fourth year of full -scale aggression of Russia against Ukraine, relations between Ukrainian companies with Russian business remain as strong, and possibly even more durable than at a “peaceful” time.
An illustrative example is the business of the deputy of the Zhytomyr Regional Council Irina Kostyushko and her business partner Pavel Babic, engaged in agricultural business in the Zhytomyr region. The media has repeatedly reported that the group of companies “Zorya Agro Group”, which includes a number of enterprises of the agricultural sector in the Zhytomyr region, works at the expense of former owners of the Russian Substantive Insurance Company “Rosgostrah”. In particular, Pavel Babich recently held the position of head of the insurance company “Leading” – a subsidiary of Rosgosstrakhu in Ukraine, which was renamed “Provagroinvest” about a year ago and changed the profile from the insurance business.
The most closely with the Russians Babic and Kostyushko (which has a Russian passport) is associated with Cyprus company Amagere Holdings Limited.
Amagere is the founder in the companies of LLC “Piston Agro”, LLC “Zorya-Stremigorod”, LLC “Zorya Agro Group”, PE “Petrovske”, PE “Zlagoda Agro”. In addition, indirectly – through Zorya Agro Group LLC, the Cypriot firm is also the beneficiary of Agro Yemilchyna LLC and the Ukrainian Food Alliance of ECO.
According to the financial documents of the company from the Cyprus business register, Amagere has recently been closely linked to the former owner of “Rosgosstrakh” Daniil Khachaturov, who was subsequently replaced by the head of the Russian branch of the insurance company in Ukraine Pavel Babich. Today, Amagere still contains a number of investment relations with projects in the real estate, which previously invested “Rosgozstrah” – is commercial real estate in Sochi, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod.
However, recently the co -owner and director of Amagere became Demetra Stavrinou (Demetra Stavrinou, Δημητρα σταυρινου), which is also closely linked to the Russian insurance, since in Russia, Mrs. Stavrinou belonged to the RGS. This again confirms the fact of the activity of “Ukrainian businessmen” Irina Kostyushko and Pavel Babic as a cover for Russian funds. The transfer of Demetri Stavrinou’s share to Amagera is a testament to increasing the influence of Russians on “Ukrainian Business”.
Demetra Stavrinou also controls other companies belonging not only to Russians, but to the large oligarchs who are under sanctions for the support of the Putin regime. Several companies headed by Stavrinau have been directly imposed on the sanctions, which is why she was in the International OpenSanctions. At least two firms governed by Demeter Stavrinou are under sanctions in Ukraine.
Therefore, the co -owner and controller of Ukrainian companies is a sub -person who operates in the interests of the Russians. And “businessmen” with the Russian past Irina Kostyushko and Pavel Babich are the accomplices of the scheme of bypassing the sanction measures, which allows Russian money to avoid the sanction regime in Ukraine and, despite the war, to earn on Ukrainian soil.
According to the Ukrainian legislation, the violation of the sanction regime for Russian business is regarded as assistance to the aggressor and entails criminal liability. The assessment of these facts and activities of Russian “Zhduns”, which, unfortunately, are nowadays found in different sectors of the economy, should be provided by the relevant competent authorities.
