On the day of the teacher in the government, they said that teachers in the frontlines will now receive an increased monthly extra charge

On the Teacher’s Day, the Cabinet of Ministers stated that from now on, teachers in the frontline will receive an increased monthly additional payment of 4000 UAH after taxes. The relevant decision was made at a government meeting.

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, this decision applies to 25 thousand teachers working in 84 communities of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Lugansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.

The funds will be accrued in October – for the period from September 1 this year, in the budget for 2026 the government also provided for the increase in the salary of pedagogical workers by 50%, Sviridenko added.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also congratulated and thanked Ukrainian teachers, teachers and education workers.

At the end of September, the Cabinet decided to raise wages for physicians working in the territories of active and possible fighting. In particular, for those who work in the war zones, the salary will be: doctors – 40 thousand UAH, average medical staff – 27 thousand UAH, junior medical staff – 18 thousand UAH, and for those who work in zones of possible hostilities: 28 – 18 – 9 thousand respectively.
