The football community of Ukraine suffered a serious loss-in the war with the Russian invaders, Andrei Solovey, a fighter of the 225th separate assault regiment and the father of the goalkeeper of the youth team of Kharkiv Metalist 1925 Maxim Solovia.

This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv Club. Andriy Solovey performed combat missions in the most complex areas of the front, giving his life for the independence and freedom of Ukraine.

17-year-old Maxim Solovei stands for Metalist’s youth team in 1925 in the U-19 Championship. This season he spent 7 matches, three of which ended with a “dry” gate.

The main team of Metalist 1925 is currently third in UPL. In the next round, September 5, Kharkiv will play with Dynamo Kiev (beginning – 15:30).
