The Odessa Ova was warned of the difficult day for the region due to bad weather

In the Odessa region, work is underway to eliminate the consequences of bad weather, which involves more than half a thousand utility workers, brigades of energy and rescuers of the SES, as well as 85 units of special equipment, said Oleg Kiper, head of the regional military administration.

He warned that, according to forecasters, the next day would also be difficult.

“The most difficult situation is in Odessa and Odessa district. Repair work on elimination of consequences of bad weather will not stop and will continue throughout the night despite the protracted drain, flooded roads and passages. All emergency crews are involved … Unfortunately, according to forecasters, the next day for Odessa will also be difficult because of significant rainfall. However, all services continue to work in enhanced mode until the full recovery of the consequences of this bad weather, ”Kiper wrote in a telegram.

According to him, as of 21:00, the SES units rescued 231 people, evacuated 46 pieces of equipment from the water, including three ambulances.

“Despite the difficult weather conditions, during the day, energy was able to return light for 66.6 thousand families in 131 settlements of Odesa region. Another 23.7 thousand consumers remain temporarily without light, ”the OVA chairman said.

Earlier today, Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov reported that the city recorded the fall of one and a half -monthly rainfall, and there stopped the work of public electric transport. According to him, in the areas of flooding the traffic of passenger transport is limited.
