Poland will continue to finance the Starlink terminals in Ukraine. The relevant law was signed by the President of the country Karol Navrotsky.
This was reported by the first Viceremier and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.
“The President of Poland has signed a law that envisages the continuation of the financing for the Starlink terminals in Ukraine. During the war, this technology is critical that hospitals, schools and frontier regions remain in touch, ”Fedorov stressed.
He specified that nowadays more than 50,000 Starlink terminals operate in Ukraine, of which more than 29,000 were handed over by Polish partners. The Minister thanked the Polish Government and the Digitalization Minister Krzysztof Gavkovsky for his solidarity with Ukraine.
Starlink terminals provide a stable Internet for critical infrastructure, which is especially important in a full -scale war. Continuation of funding will guarantee the smooth operation of the network in all regions of the country.
Satellite online service Starlink, owned by American billionaire Ilon Mask, has resumed work for most users after a short-term failure. Communication has disappeared around the world on Monday, September 15.
