In Cherkasy, law enforcement officers reported a suspicion of anesthesiologist because of the death of a 7-year-old child. He is charged with improper performance of professional duties.

Law enforcement officers found that in November 2024, during a planned operation, a 7-year-old boy violated the requirements of the instructions for the use and dosage of anesthesia. Because of this, the baby died.

The anesthesiologist was informed of suspicion under Article 140 (2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (improper performance of professional duties, which caused the death of a minor).

The sanction of the article provides for a sentence of liberty up to 5 years or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
