In Ukraine, there is a transition from paper work books to electronic format. Citizens are advised not to delay their digitization, as not timely records can cost years of insurance experience and reduce the amount of future pension.
According to, since June 10, 2021, all work books are translated into electronic format. This process was allocated for five years – until June 10, 2026. If the documents are not digitized, the experience may be incomplete, which will lead to delays in the pension.
This is said in the appropriate law .
The digitization procedure includes scanning all pages of the workbook and documents confirming the length of service. The presence of an electronic version protects data in case of loss or damage to the paper book and allows to confirm the periods of work by 2004.
Each citizen can enter a personal account on the portal of the Pension Fund or in the application, open the section “Electronic Labor Book” and verify the data entered. In the event of errors or absence of records, you can submit an online appeal.
The minimum conditions for retirement from 2026 will be as follows:
- 33 years – in 60 years,
- 23 years – in 63 years,
- 15 years – at 65 years.
Recall that in 2019, the Pension Fund introduced an Electronic Labor Book.
Currently, the Ukrainians have less than nine months before the expiration of paper work books in digital format.
On September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Project of the Law on the State Budget for 2026.
