Hungarian fighters were raised in the air through five Russian planes near Latvia – NATO

Two Hungarian fighters were raised in the air through five Russian military aircraft over the Baltic Sea. This was reported by NATO Air Command on the social network X in the evening of September 25.

“Two Hungarian Gripen fighters were raised in the air from September 25 from Lithuanian Syuluyuyu on the Russian Su-30, Su-35 and three Mig-31, which flew near Latvia airspace,” the statement said.

NATO added that Hungary demonstrates the dedication of the Baltic States and the Eastern flank.

Over the past two weeks, NATO countries have accused Russia of unprecedented violation of its airspace several times.

In the first case, it was about drones: about 20 drones on the night of September 10 entered Poland’s airspace. On September 13, according to Romania, a Russian drone that attacked Ukraine forces and penetrated Romania’s airspace over the country for 50 minutes before returning to Ukraine. On September 19, the Estonian authorities declared a violation of the country’s airspace by Russian fighters. The Russian authorities reject the accusation.
