According to The Guardian, the Prime Minister of Denmark has stated that the country has been “the most serious attack today on critical infrastructure.” She said that the authorities still establish who is on a probable attack, although it does not exclude Russia’s involvement.
“Of course, we do not exclude any options as to who is behind it. And it is obvious that it fits into recent events associated with other drones attacks, airspace and hacker attacks on European airports,” she said.
“We saw drones over Poland, which should not be there, we observed activity in Romania, violation of the airspace of Estonia, we had a hacker attack on European airports last weekend, and now also drones in Denmark and Norway,” she said.
Frederixen added that the invasion was aimed at “destabilizing the situation and creating riots. See how far you can go and check the boundaries of the allowed.”
At the same time, it did not rule out Russia’s involvement in this incident.
“I cannot in any way deny that it is Russia. We see a number of hybrid attacks, sabotage and diversions. What happened in Denmark is now investigating power.”
Drones over Denmark – what is knownOn Monday, in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen temporarily stopped the airport through drones.
Danish police said that two or three large drones were apparently managed by an “experienced operator”, who wanted to demonstrate their special opportunities. The drones in Denmark appeared from different directions, periodically switching on and turning off the lights for several hours before disappearing.
Oslo Airport, the main air unit of Norway, was also forced to close for three hours after two drones were spotted.
As a result of two incidents, tens of thousands of passengers were injured because many flights have been detained or canceled.
