Concerning the meeting of Ukrainian and Russian delegations, Zelensky said that this issue is now “without any movement forward.”
“We can meet them at least tomorrow, if we just want to talk. But we need a result. We have read all their memoranda, we know them well. And they read them – they have learned them very well. They know what they want, and we know what we want,” the President said.
According to him, the Russians are now trying to delay the negotiations and do not want the end of the war.
“They lied once again – we meet, there is an agreement on exchange, and in addition to the exchange there is an agreement in which format there are leaders to try to agree on the end of the war, about one stage or another. But they met and agreed only about the exchange. They returned and said: Probably still to do something – technical meetings. “That is, they pull everything,” he added.
Zelensky noted that he would discuss this issue with US President Donald Trump, and he will talk to China.
“I think everyone will do a little to make a meeting at the level of leaders,” the head of state said.
It should be reminded that at this meeting Zelensky also stated that Ukraine expects to strengthen sanctions against Russia from Europe and the US, and delaying this process inhibits pressure on Moscow.
He also stated that it is fair to talk about a joint decision to kill drones over Ukraine together with other states.
