The total length of the cleared band of the bottom is 14 kilometers – it is the coast of Anapa, the villages of Dzhemte, Veselivka, Wave and Artyushchenko, as well as the villages of Vityazeve. Rescuers made more than 21 thousand dives, the total weight of the fuel oil raised is more than two thousand tons.
At the same time, the consequences of other contamination in the same area were not said – in early September, a leak from the tanker occurred in Novorossiysk, according to Rosnatrodnadzor, 30 cubic meters of oil poured into the sea. In two days, 290 bags were taken out of the place of sand contaminated. A group of volunteers reported the affected birds.
The fuel oil resulted in the Black Sea as a result of the collision of two Volgoneft tankers in the Kerch Strait on December 15 – according to the main version through a storm. The tankers transported more than 9,000 tons of petroleum products and belonged to Rosneft. The “Important History” was found out that for 2024 and January 2025, at least 11 tankers “Volgoneft” went out into the sea during periods when, according to their classification certificates, they had no right to it.
Anapa authorities filed a lawsuit with the Krasnodar Territory Arbitration Court against the owners of two tankers who sank in the Black Sea in December 2024. For the losses caused by the region due to oil spill, the city hall demanded 211 million rubles. Earlier, experts estimated losses only from sea pollution worth more than 33 billion rubles.
