Thus, the Government Resolution No. 76, which establishes the procedure and requirements for booking of employees, determines one of the mandatory requirements for the amount of wages. It should be 2.5 minimum wage. Since in 2025 the minimum wage was 8 thousand UAH, critically important enterprises could book employees who receive at least 20 thousand UAH per month.
At the same time, the budget project for 2026 provides for an increase in the minimum wage by 9% – to 8647 UAH per month. This means that critically important enterprises will be able to book only those employees who will receive at least 21 617.5 UAH per month.
In addition, increasing the minimum wage will automatically lead to an increase in a single social contribution paid by individual entrepreneurs (FOPs). Currently, the amount of ESA may not be less than UAH 1760 per month (22% of the minimum wage). From the new year, in the case of budget approval in the current version, the amount of ESA will increase to 1902.34 UAH (by UAH 142.34).
We will remind that on September 15 the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Parliament a bill on the state budget for 2026. The document provides an increase in the minimum wage and the subsistence minimum. The document is also calculated taking into account the introduction of some new taxes.
