This follows from the annexes to the Bill “Fuel Excise Tax Calculation for the Consolidated Budget for 2026” and “Electric Electricity Excise Calculation for 2026”.
The average official hryvnia rate to euro is indicated at the level of 49.4 hryvnia. Currently, the official hryvnia rate to the euro is 48.50 hryvnia.
It is worth noting that the euro forecast, as well as the dollar, which the government lays in the draft law on the state budget, is always estimated and rarely equal to the actual results of the year.

The National Bank is studying the issue of transition from the dollar to the euro as the main exchange rate of currency, the first deputy head of the National Bank Sergey Nikolaychuk told. He noted that since the beginning of the full -scale war, Ukraine’s economic and financial relations with the European Union have increased significantly, and international assistance, especially during this and past years, came primarily to the euro. According to him, the regulator does not have clear plans for the transition to the euro in the near future, and the exchange currency should be one, and that is still a dollar.
