Due to Russian attacks today, five people were injured in Sumy, the head of the regional military administration Oleg Grigorov said in the telegram.

According to him, a 75-year-old woman and men of 40 and 51 were injured in the Trostyanets community-all with slight injuries, a 69-year-old man was injured in the Yunak community-he was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

In the Sumy community, a 29-year-old woman was injured during the killing of one of the Russian UAVs, she was taken to hospital, Grigorov added.

The UN Human Rights experts noted that in August 2025, the strikes of Russian nearby radius have caused more victims among civilians in Ukraine than any other weapon: 58 civilians were killed and 272 were injured. The August Mission report states that about 72% of all victims were recorded near the front line, in particular in Donetsk and Kherson regions.

Russian military regularly from various weapons – UAVs, missiles, booths, RSSUs – attacked Ukrainian regions.

The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
