The EU Executive Body expects that Ukraine will increase Ukraine’s readiness for winter and protect the civilian population from extreme cold.
Assistance will provide for home materials, repair of damaged homes and centers for displaced persons, improvement of access to water, sanitation and heating. The package will include cash assistance, solid fuel, heating appliances and insulation, as well as emergency heating points.
“Winter brings new difficulties to millions of Ukrainians who are already suffering from the consequences of Russia’s war. We should be single in solidarity, strengthen our collective humanitarian response and protect the most vulnerable in the coming cold months. We confirm our devotion to the people of Ukraine – with solidarity, humanity and determination, ” – said in a comment to the European Commissioner on Khaji Labib Crisis Management.
The UK government has announced the allocation of a total of 142 million pounds (about 164 million euros) in support of Ukraine during the winter, as well as next year.
In particular, 100 million pounds will go to humanitarian assistance to civilians in frontline communities. The package will include the restoration of water supply and heating systems and assistance in creating jobs and “strengthening Ukrainian stability during the fourth war of Russia’s unlawful war.”

“The £ 42 million will help to carry out vital repair of the electricity transmission network and to establish critically important protection for gas and energy infrastructure while winter begins to sign,” the government said.
