The superstar, 61, appeared to be caught picking his teeth as he filmed The Adventures of Cliff Booth in Malibu over the weekend.
Mouth agape, Pitt dug a finger inside his mouth as they worked on the movie upon a balcony.
Pitt has been hard at work on his newest movie, a sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
The follow-up is being helmed by David Fincher and focuses more on Cliff Booth, the stuntman who worked for actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) in the original.
DiCaprio’s name doesn’t appear on a list of credits for this latest film on IMDb, which describes the plot as showing ‘more of Cliff Booth’s backstory in his new role as a Hollywood fixer.’
Pitt’s costume exemplified the era which his newest film is set, which takes place eight years after the original, which was set in 1969, according to ScreenRant.
The actor looked straight out of the 70s in a midnight blue track jacket, jeans, and aviator shades.
He’s also re-adopted Cliff’s long, beachy locks for the role.
It’s been six years since Pitt last played Cliff in the critically-acclaimed Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, a role which earned him his second Oscar.
Tarantino previously fleshed out the character beyond how he’s portrayed in the film with a novelization of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood that he wrote.
While the upcoming film will focus on Cliff, Pitt clarified that the project was ‘not really a sequel but an episode’ featuring the character.
‘This is something Quentin Tarantino wrote. It’s an episode, not really a sequel, but an episode of the character from Once Upon A Time,’ he told Deadline back in June.
‘But he didn’t want to direct it at this point, and my friend David Fincher, our friend, I say our mutual friend, David Fincher stepped in to direct it,’ Pitt explained. ‘So we’re doing that for Netflix and we’re gonna start in July, it should be really fun. It should be good fun.’
In addition to Pitt, the cast consists of Timothy Olyphant, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Scott Caan and JB Tadena.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood earned numerous awards and nominations, including multiple Oscar nods.
Pitt won the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of Cliff.
Filming comes as Pitt mourns the loss of his mother, Jane Etta Pitt, who passed at age 84 last month.
Pitt was photographed on the set of the sequel two weeks after the loss, with a source telling People at the time the actor was ‘being his usual professional self despite this personal tragedy.’
The star has not made any public mention of his mother’s passing, but he was thinking about her while promoting F1 on Today back in June.
‘I gotta say hi to my mom because she watches you every morning,’ he told the hosts.
He then blew a kiss following it with ‘To Jane Pitt. Love you, Mom.’
