UNIAN has prepared a selection of the best new films this week – both in Ukrainian cinemas and online.
Film Films “Long Walk”, “Downton Abbey: Magnificent Final” and “Malevich” / UNIAN Collage, ScreenshotsThe main premieres in the cinemas of Ukraine this week will be the tense mountain “Long Walk” according to the novel of the same name by Stephen King, the costume drama “Abbey Downton: The Great Final” and two other Ukrainian films – the biographical drama “Malevich” and the romantic thriller “Honey Moon”.

The events of the film, based on the novel of the horror king of the same name, Stephen King in 1979, take place in an alternative version of the United States, where totalitarian leaders collect teenage boys from all over the country for a cruel competition under the name “Long Walk.” Participants should go without reducing the speed of a predetermined route that has no finishing line. In this game, there will be only one winner for exhaustion, and everyone who can not stand is waiting for the inevitable death. But how far will the new participants in the competition – Ray and Peter, who have their own reasons to go long?

The film covers the key events in the life of a famous avant-garde artist Casimir Malevich in Kiev, who give an idea of the era in which he lived, and the passions that raged around the artist’s work. And there were many of them: the envy of competitors, great love, pain for the peasants suffering from the Holodomor, and the hatred of the ordering the Bolsheviks.
The main role in the film was played by the actor of the theater Vitaliy Nazovnov, known in roles in the high -profile performances of “Caligula”, “Maria Stuart” and “Macbeth”.

The film’s events take place in February 2022 in a small town near Kiev, where a couple of 30-year-old lovers, Taras and Olya lives. They spend the first night in their new apartment, but at dawn they will wake up explosions. They are not able to leave the city in time, and in the meantime, Russian troops have a headquarters in the yard of their home. The couple is trapped in an apartment without electricity, water and mobile communications. Over the next five days, Taras and Olya will explore the black abyss of true proximity between two people in a situation of deadly threat.
The lead roles in the film were played by the Lutsk Roman (“The Power Serpent”, “The Watchtower”, “The Glory”) and Irina Nirsha (short film “Painter”, the series “Principle of enjoyment”).
This is the first feature film of the Ukrainian director Jeanne Ozirna, who previously released short -range “Meeting”, “Adult”, “Grace” and others.

The Line of Spanish Cinema 2025(Spain, 2025, festival)
From September 11 to September 16, 2025, the Jubilee 10th Festival “Spanish Cinema Line” will be held at the Kiev Cinema “October”, in which Ukrainian moviegoers will be introduced to the best films of recent years of Spain production.
In total, five films in different genres will be shown in the festival – melodrama, thriller, comedy, science fiction and historical drama.
The event will open the sensual drama “Deaf”, which tells about an inherent woman who learns to be a mother and proves that love does not need words.

The main character is a young girl named Don, who agrees to take part in the show of dating to get into the French capital of Paris, where she enrolled on the articles. But she is waiting for a real shock when the participants are brought to the Texas town of the same name. Initially, the girl plans to leave the show, but soon falls in love with the participant.
