It is reported that the organizer of the scheme was a 37-year-old entrepreneur from Vinnytsia. He involved the locals, purchased equipment, components and raw materials in quantities that allowed to produce products on an industrial scale.
Production was carried out at the places of residence of the group members, and the sale – through local shops and postal delivery across the country. For coordination of actions, the defendants used a closed chat in the messenger, according to Beb.
Law enforcement officers found and seized more than 50 thousand pieces of cigarettes with a filter, about 15,000 packs of tobacco products of domestic and foreign brands without excise stamps, seven machines for production. Hundreds of bags and boxes of tobacco, hundreds of thousands of sleeves, empty packs and packaging materials for packing of finished products were also seized.
Previously, law enforcement officers seized almost 14.4 million packs of cigarettes. Only of them, more than UAH 706 million of taxes were not received to the budget.
In the Ternopil region, a criminal group was exposed, which made household chemicals under the brands of well -known brands. Business was organized by a resident of Chortkiv region.
