The DBR employees, with the assistance of the Military Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were detained and reported to the suspicion of five servicemen who were searched for the unauthorized leaving of units in Vinnytsia. They all refused to voluntarily return to the service.

“Thanks to interagency interaction and continuous work to promote defense forces, law enforcement officers establish the place of residence of the military who went to the HSC. Most of them voluntarily and deliberately return to the battalions of the reserve, and later – they replenish the Armed Forces and effectively defend the state, ”the post reads.
At the same time, there are military people who refuse to oath and do not want to return to the service even under threat of criminal liability, the DBR says.
In particular, five soldiers of different military units in Vinnytsia region left their place of dislocation at different times. They ignored the duty to the state and categorically refused to protect Ukraine’s independence again.
These soldiers were detained in accordance with Art. 615 of the CPC of Ukraine. Men were informed about suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 407 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Unauthorized abandonment of the military unit in the conditions of martial law”).
The persons are threatened with five to ten years in prison.
