Legislative initiatives of NavrotskyAccording to UNIAN, President of Poland Karol Navrotsky has previously called on the Seimas to ban the use of OUN-UPA symbolism in Poland.

Today, on August 25, Navrotsky announced the ban on the “Bandera symbol” at the legislative level. Navrotsky’s legislative initiative is intended to equate the “Bandera symbol” to the Nazi and Communist Symbols in the Criminal Code of Poland. According to him, it will help to build Polish-Ukrainian relations at true partnership and mutual respect.

Separately, Navrotsky decided to veto a law on assistance to Ukrainian citizens. He proposed his bill on this issue, and called on the government and all parties in parliament for two weeks to work hard over the form of this project. According to him, Poland should achieve social justice in this matter, because the Poles in their country should be equal with Ukrainians.
