Details: NABU staff emphasize that they are aware of the threats that come from Russian aggression and emphasize the importance of maintaining the institutional independence of anti -corruption bodies.

“We are also convinced that no person, regardless of its affiliation with NABU or other state institutions, can have indulgences from responsibility for crimes against national security.

At the same time, we are genuinely convinced that the events that took place in July 2025 with respect to employees of the National Bureau are a procedural arbitrariness caused by political purpose, ” – said in the address.

The appeal criticizes the use of argumentation on “neutralization of Russian influence”, which the authors called “a dangerous narrative to justify unlawful measures and prevent the attention of society from the main purpose – to deprive NABU and SAP of institutional independence.”

NABU employees also emphasize that the materials published by the SBU can “testify to the morally dubious behavior of individuals in this case”, but are not sufficiently convincing to confirm the composition of the incriminated crime.

Literally: “Every NABU employee who has been the victim of procedural arbitrariness is ready to defend his rights and, most importantly, to defend the institutional independence of the Bureau in both national and international legal instances.”
