Sviridenko instructed to submit to the Cabinet of Ministers the formation of a commission for the selection of customs head

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko held a meeting with Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko. She reported this on August 1 on her social networks.

“She instructed to submit a decision to form a competition commission for the selection of customs head for the next meeting,” she said.

Sviridenko pointed to the importance of transparent and professional selection:

“Customs should become a modern service service that meets the European Union standards and works one hundred percent honestly to fill the budget.”

On February 1, 2023 the Cabinet of Ministers released the temporary acting head of the State Customs Service Vyacheslav Demchenko and the first deputy chairman of the State Customs Service Alexander Shchutsky. Since then, the duties of the head of the customs service have been used by Sergey Zvyagintsev.
