“We will announce how many EU member states make a request for these loans quite soon (from the fund – ed.) for 150 billion. We see a rather great interest. And later, perhaps in November, we will announce how many of these loans will be used for Ukraine, ”Kubilus said, communicating with journalists in Brussels.
According to him, some countries already indicate that they will use loans for Ukraine, but “we do not have clear figures at this time.”

Earlier, in the spring, Kubilus urged countries to invest in the Ukrainian defense and expressed concern that he had not heard of intentions to take out loans for purchases in Ukraine.

Kubilus said that he was not ready to comment now on whether the EU countries are ready to finance US weapons for $ 90 billion, as Zelensky said after the negotiations in Washington. However, he called these negotiations important and drew attention to the fact that “Putin is nervous, he tries to discredit that meeting.”
“I see much more strong and united actions by the EU with the Americans,” the official said.
He added that the European Defense Industry has more interest in the Ukrainian defense industry than the other way around:

As an example, Kubilus cited the first initiatives of cooperation, such as Bravetech EU and Edip (European Defense Industry Program), EU programs proposed by the European Commission for financial support, strengthening and stimulating cooperation in the European Union defense industry and Ukraine.
